My name is Thomas Kohnstamm and I am the editor here at JobsBlog.

I work with the JobsBloggers to bring you insights on life at Microsoft and the job application process. I also profile interesting Microsoft people and places for Microspotting.

I'm a local Seattleite and remember feeling a rush of hometown pride when I first saw Microsoft products abroad in the early 90s.

I graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine and grad school at Stanford. My background is as both a writer and editor and I've worked in book publishing, magazines, newspapers and on-line. I speak Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese and am passionate about travel, skiing and, of course, technology.
